About Huckleberry

Meet Hukleberry aka Huck! Huck is approximately 3 years old and weighs aabout 50 lbs. He is looking for his furever home with a family that has experience with high energy dogs, and in a perfect world, has another dog he can play with. He is crate trained and knows how to sit but he still needs more training with the rest of the commands. He's a big lovebug and wants to play and cuddle, and loves everybody. He free roams during the day in the house, and would be happiest kept indoors. He loves people and most other dogs and is fine with kids and cats, but would probably do better with older kids due to his activity level. Huck's mom passed unexpectedly recently and her mother passed 2 weeks before, so his granddaddy is a bit overwhelmed and wants to find him a wonderful home with a wonderful family. We are hoping to find a good fit with a family who can respond with their current veterinarian reference and let us know what your family's home schedule is like, how many pets you have, and where Huck would be kept when nobody is home. A secure fenced yard is preferred so he can run around as needed, but he is an indoor dog. A meet and greet in a neutral location would be the first step, followed by a home visit if the meet and greet goes well.
