Rehoming fee will be waived if adoptive party will complete a Coaching Essentials Training Package through Portland Instinct Dog Training with her current trainer to provide for best transition. I love this girl and the decision to rehome her is one of the hardest decisions of my life. I am older with arthritis and balance issues that make it risky for me to walk her as well as give her all the physical outlets she needs. I will also soon be bringing home a new hearing dog and it will make it even more of a challenge to give Maggie all the time and attention that she needs to continue through her adolescence. I had considered hiring someone to walk her and taking her to daycare a couple times a week to allow her some good play time with other dogs, but my finances will not allow for these types of ongoing needs, not to mention the additional financial obligations of the new hearing dog. I want with all my heart to keep her, but I know that love also means letting go sometimes.
