About OBIE

Obie came to us at 4 months old when he was at risk of euthanasia at the shelter in Phoenix due to medical issues. We discovered that his condition was a result of dermatitis with vasculopathy meaning that he does not have appropriate circulation which causes his extremities to sometimes be painful. He has made huge strides and is now on a mostly holistic regime and doing well. He has gained weight and gotten much stronger in his 8 months in rescue and he mostly a normal puppy. He is now a little over a year old and about 7 lbs. He does have some minor dental issues and is not yet neutered because the surgery may be fatal due to his current condition. We are hoping to be able to address them in the future so he can get neutered. He is a bit feisty when it comes to taking his herbs and meds but his current foster mom is willing to mentor someone who might be interested in giving Obie a more long term 'foster to adopt' home. He would do best in a home with at least another small dog and no kids or older respectful kids.
