Meet Eeyore! He's one special boy! Check out the pic of Eeyore curled up behind the head of his foster mom. That's how he sleeps every night! Eeyore has good house manners and is able to be 'off leash' at his foster home! He is a mixed breed dog who is around 2 years old and weighs about 50-55 pounds. He is good with both small and large dogs in his foster home. No cats. Eeyore is another one of the dogs we recently got from a shelter in Va that is killing almost everyone as soon as their hold is up! We have been putting in rescue offers 'of last resort' for all the dogs we can. That means, if another rescue will take them.....great! If not, we are the safety net that saves their lives! We sure are glad we stepped up to save this special guy! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
