About Bo

Bo, like so many others, has a very sad story to tell. His previous heartless owners poured acid on Bo which left horrific burns on his back. After being pulled by a rescue, he had to undergo a very stressful and traumatic treatment for his wounds. But Bo is strong willed, and he was able to make a full recovery relatively quickly! Unfortunately, shortly after, he was diagnosed with heartworm which meant he was confined to very low activity for the next year of his life. Not to worry though, Bo cleared the heartworm and made a full recovery for a second time! Currently, he is healthy and living his best life with his foster family where he is learning kindness and love. Despite being hurt by others, Bo loves to snuggle in your lap and is very eager to please his chosen human! Bo is a pit bull mix, around 3 years old and weighs approximately 50lb. He comes neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. He does great with all people, be they small or large, friend or stranger and absolutely loves the kiddos! He is selectively friendly with other dogs; and it will take a slow introduction, time and training for Bo to be able to cohabitate with other 4 leggers in the house. A home where he can be the only pet would be best. Bo is house trained, leash trained, rides well in a car, and is learning basic commands. He has already mastered Sit and No! Bo does NOT dig up your yard, does NOT chew your stuff, NOR exhibit any resource guarding/aggression. He does enjoy boating, swimming, long walks on the beach and hanging out with the neighborhood kids. He is a happy-go-lucky pup that is making up for his lost puppy years! Home checks are required.
