About Roxy

Roxy is going to take a very special, very patient adopter. She is very distrustful of new people and will bark and growl when they get close. You will have to leave her alone for a few weeks until she warms up to you, and then she is loyal and docile, but any new situation can set her back. Her trainer, who at present is the only person she trusts, is willing to deliver Roxy and work with her adopter for several days to make sure things work out. Roxy would do best in a home with one or more stable, good-natured dogs to show her the ropes. She is great with other dogs and would do fine in a sanctuary situation or as a guard dog who doesn't need to interact positively with people. If she is adopted in a city where lots of people walk by, she may need training with an e-collar to diminish her barking. She also needs a secure fence or kennel as she's a bit of an escape artist. We are willing to transport.
