About Maxx

This sleek little guy is Maxx . Maxx is a 2-year-old Chiweenie, a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund. He weighs 11 pounds. Maxx and his two brothers, Smokey and Sebastian, came to us when one of our volunteers found them being given away for free and was worried about where they would end up. She took them home and we found foster homes for each of them. We got them vetted and now they are ready to find their new homes. Maxx is an energetic young dog who would like another small dog in his home to follow. He wants to play with another dog and have the companionship of another dog. He is good with people, but he is more confident with another dog to model his behavior after. Maxx is doing well at learning to potty outside but will need someone that can get him outside every 4-5 hours. Maxx has puppy-like energy and loves staying busy. He enjoys all kinds of dog toys and is ready to learn new games he can play with his people. Maxx had not had any experience walking on a leash before he came to us. He can still use some practice walking nicely on a leash. For this reason, Maxx will need a physically fenced yard at his new home. Maxx is good with other dogs and cats. Because Maxx is a small his new home should not have children under the age of 12 or large dogs. Maxx is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. He is a playful pup looking for a home where he can have some fun.
