About Ms. Lemon

Ms. Lemon was found as a stray in Nahunta, Georgia back in Feb of 2022. All attempts to trap and catch her failed for months. She had been visiting the Ace Hardware, Jerry J's and the Circle K regularly. I received so many messages, all I could tell them is that if you catch her I will help her. She was skinny and had been at some point in time and has a broken ball joint. She is going to need surgery but at this point she has healed for months and we may be dealing with a 'leave it for now' situation as she runs and plays like nothing is wrong. But we are having that assessed. She is very shy and does take awhile to warm up to new people. She will need someone with a few acres and a fence. She acts like she doesn't know her name if she gets out. She will run around the neighborhood like a goof ball, and then wait at the gate for you to let her back in. So a fence will be mandatory for her new home. She knows how to use a doggy door and gets very upset in a crate. Probably due to being locked in a kennel and pretty much forgotten about until she found herself out of it and on the streets. She deserves a home where she can be spoiled. She does well on a leash and is learning that its a good thing to go on outings. She loves to chase squirrels!
