About Robbie

Robbie was picked up as a stray that no one came to claim. His time was almost up and his number was fast approaching on the shelter euthanasia list. But before that fatal hour drew near, a kind shelter volunteer took pity on him and decided to foster Robbie. Unfortunately fostering meant a boarding facility, which is not ideal nor affordable in the long term. But now after 4 months of training, regular meals and cuddles and a steady routine, Robbie is ready to meet his forever family! Robbie is a Lab/Pit mix, about 1.5 years old, weighing in around 55lbs. He comes neutered, fully vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. He is fully house trained and walks well on a leash! Robbie is a good listener and very eager to please his human. He is responsive to positive reinforcement training and has already learned to 'sit', to 'leave it', and to wait patiently for his ball to be thrown. Robbie is a bit shy and may take time to warm up to you, but once he opens up he will be your most loyal friend! Robbie is fairly athletic and loves to attempt arial acrobatics while playing with the water hose, endlessly fetch his favorite ball thrown by none other than his favorite human, and do circles around the yard while you watch. But he also has a softer side and enjoys a warm late night snuggle with his fetch partner! Robbie is selectively friendly with other dogs and is not amiable to cats or small prey. A quiet home with a steady routine would be best. Home checks are required. Please do not contact if you are not willing to allow a home visit.
