About Wilder

Wilder is a sensitive, sweet, and soulful pooch who needs a loving forever home. Pal's Place rescued Wilder from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky after devastating flooding hit the area. He is estimated to be between 1-2 years of age and is a very thin 40 pounds. An ideal weight for this fella is closer to 50-55 pounds. Wilder has some of the most expressive and intense eyes we have ever seen, and it seems this guy has already seen a lot in his young life. Wilder is cautious and shy when meeting new people, but with a few kind words, a slow approach, and some gentle pets, he offers some tail wags and gentle kisses. His exact breed is unknown but appears to be a Lab mix, possibly with some type of Terrier and/or Border Collie in his background. Wilder's humble and demure temperament would be best suited to a quiet home with understanding guardians who can give him all the time and patience he needs to feel comfortable in a new environment. We believe Wilder will blossom into the more assured and confident dog we know he has in him with just a little TLC and confidence building! Wilder is quiet and well-behaved in the home and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. He is being fostered in a home with several other dogs and gets along well with his canine companions. He is anxious and eager to meet his forever family; meet him today! �'ۢ Wilder's adoption fee to the rescue is $375. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines. Wilder can be visited by appointment once an adoption application is submitted and approved by the rescue. This fee helps to cover medical expenses needed to prepare dogs for adoption (vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries, etc.), feeding, transportation, and general care for the dogs.
