About Lady

Lady is a sweetheart and just a lover to the bone. She is very sweet, fun loving, and super affectionate. She is gentle and isn't going to shy away from giving you some kisses and love. She loves affection and attention from anyone and is good with people she knows and strangers as well. She is also good with children. She is energetic and loves to be outside. Lady loves to play, so an active family would be best for her. She is looking for a a home with a nice 5ft fenced in yard and doggy door would be that extra bonus. She loves running around and doing her zoomies. Another doggy playmate would also be great for her that would match her energy level; however, she does great as an only dog as well. She would just need her people to keep her entertained. She does well at the dog park, so taking her there or going to doggie day care would be fun for her. After a good energetic run or play, Lady loves to just lay on the couch or floor and nap away. We are working on her leash manners and her new family would need to continue to build on this. Lady is a strong and loves to chase little critters like squirrels, birds, or bunnies which can distract her from the walk. She goes on about 3 walks a day so there is plenty of practice time. Lady is also working on some basic training as well. She is learning what 'no' means, as well as sit and come. She is learning each nicely. Lady takes some time to warm up to toys, but still does love having them around. Her favorites are bones. Lady will chew on a bone to her hearts content (and it takes up quite a bit of her attention as well). When given the opportunity, she may find some tasty morsels on the counter so watch her and let her know counter surfing is frowned upon in this home. She even has a 'third eye' between her masked face! She has the coolest markings and super cute, perky ears. She is just adorable in person! Lady does have separation anxiety and she will jump/climb over doggy gate to reach her foster family. Her new family can work on slowly, slowly rewarding her with short intervals of leaving the room and coming back, etc. On a super, positive note she is a road trip fanatic and loves the car so instead of leaving her at home (which she doesn't love anyway) just bring her with you! It's a win-win!! Some of the benefits of not adopting a young puppy are thing like Lady is already house trained so no accidents to worry about and crate trained as well.
