About Tota

Tota ain't in Georgia anymore! Tota traveled 17+ hours to leave the shelter of GA to the comfy foster home of PA. Tota is a 6 year old, 20 lb terrier mix. She is dog and cat friendly. Tota will do best in home with kids 10 years of age and older as she is timid initially. She is not a fan of being picked up yet in her new home, but we know that is part of her adjustment. Because that is a fear of hers, we don't want young kids to try and scare her. She did great though with a 5 year old who knew the rules and just sat to pet her-- then she jumped right in his lap! She LOVES affection once she feels safe. Tota is working on learning the routine for house and crate training, but we don't expect it to take long to pick up. She is a moderate energy pooch who loves treats (and is working on the gentle command). Tota is spayed, current with vaccines, underwent heartworm treatment, and is fostered in Harrisburg, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
