About Winston

Our family has a 2 /12 yellow lab named Winston. We have had Winston since he was six weeks old. Winston is a sweet dog who is normally very well-behaved, but he recently began showing some aggression toward our children if they are near food or his kennel. To be clear, Winston is not a dangerous dog. He does not go after people and certainly does not mean to hurt anyone when he snips at them. We are foster parents and having a dog who potentially would bite a child is not something that we can manage. If he were to bite one of our foster children, we may not be able to keep them in our home. We are looking for a home for Winston. He is fully house trained and, except for the recent issue with children, does well around people. He loves going on walks and playing with a tennis ball. Winston is a full-bred, AKC-registered lab. We have another dog (a male dog who is also neutered) who Winston gets along with well. It brings us significant grief to part with him, but we feel this is best for him and for our family.
