This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. [Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Bailey needs medical help that we cannot afford to give her. She has a bladder full of stones that will need surgical intervention, has a scratch on her right eye that appears to be irritated, but is not swollen or otherwise oozing anything other than tears from the eye, has chronic ear infections - when we adopted her from the elderly gentleman giving her up, her ears were hard and crusty. We've had her on Zymox LP3 Enzyme System Otic ear drops which has helped to resolve the dry crusty issue, but she still has problems with chronic itchy ears, and infections. Bailey also has chronic bladder infections, that I suspect she's had for a lot longer than she's been with my family I intended to keep this old lady until it was her time to go, but am now, given the extent of her health issues, am looking for a home for Bailey that can give her the help she needs. She's okay with cats, doesn't seem to have an issue with them, but sometimes snaps at them when they get too close and make her uncomfortable. I suspect the snipping/nipping has a lot to do with the poor eyesight. She is spayed. Weights around 14lbs. When we got her, she was a staggering 17lbs, had no hair on her head, paws were swollen and had skin folds all over the tops of them from where she constantly licks, which as you can see have all but gone away now with a healthy and proper diet, even though Bailey hates being on the diet, it is necessary, or she'll eat to the point of making herself sick. A house with little to no carpet would be good. Bailey doesn't do well with using a potty-pad and frequently has urinary and fecal accidents in the house just owing to the chronic bladder infections/stones and a constant feeling of need to 'go.' When we brought her home she was 8 years old, that was around two years ago, so she's around 10 years old now. I can ask for our vet records, if potential adopter would like to see them. Asking re-homing fee to weed out casual inquiries. This senior girl deserves the best, most loving home, that can give her all the medical treatment she needs to live out the rest of her life in comfort. Believe me, even though I've marked her as 'low energy,' she's got plenty of life left in her. She'd like nothing more than to be in a loving home, with an older male, or couple where she can be a mans lap dog. Text or call is OK. If I don't answer a call, please leave me a voicemail mentioning Bailey and a name and number to reach you back at. We can meet up somewhere to discuss and do a meet and greet with Bailey to get a ground determination if she might be a good fit for the family.
