About Elvis

Elvis is nothing but a hound doggie!! He is an Australian Shepherd mix; adorable, affectionate and a quiet boy! Elvis is a total LOVE BUG, pure and simple with a smile! We fell in love with him when we first laid eyes on him along with our Alumni Smiley. At that time, they were going from trash can to trash can, both emaciated. Smiley, we were able to catch that day, and later on, she went onto her forever home. Elvis remained at large, but by the Grace of God, we found him again after four days of searching. He was staying close to another female dog that could protect him and belonged to a local family. It's hard to believe it took him eight months to gain a human's trust, but I am grateful we solicited the family's help and we have him now. It took daily feedings and consistency. Nothing has made us happier than to give a second chance at life to this handsome Elvis! He is PURE LOVE, loves to hug, and gives you lots of kisses! He is such a good boy and very treat motivated and has already mastered his potty and crate training! He is now learning how to walk on a leash and some basics. Elvis would definitely need a large privacy fenced-in yard and a would LOVE a fur buddy to play and hang out with. He would also do well-being someone's companion, one and only 'Best Friend'. He is gentle with no issues of aggression and just the perfect fellow. He survived out on his own because of his gentle nature and submissiveness which also at times meant he did without. If he had his way today, he would be in your lap giving out kisses all day long! Elvis is 1-2 years old, 58 pounds, and a LOVER! Elvis has been fully medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and placed on prevention plus microchipped.
