About Bella

Hi Future Family! My name is Bella. My sister Roxie and I are a bonded pair meaning we thrive when we're together and not apart. Roxie's Rescue Me ID is 22-08-20-00231. Our mom passed away in May 2022. Our dad recently moved to a care home where he can get the help he needs, but we aren't allowed to go with him. I am a 9-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier mix. People say I'm loyal and protective and can be shy at times, though I am desperate to trust. I can be vocal when new people approach or there are loud noises, but I warm up quickly and just want your affection and to feel safe. I love humans (kiddos, teenagers, and adults alike!), cats, and doggos who are similar or smaller in size. I love running in a fenced yard, cuddling under blankets, and getting belly rubs! But we all have our quirks! My mom and dad have been sick for some time, so I'll need a little extra help. I'm learning to walk with a leash and harness. I use potty pads like a champ! Someone who knows the value of TLC and going slow knows the value of me! I would thrive in a home that could offer continued medical care, a dental, and further training support. My foster family is hoping to get me spayed soon. I recently went to the vet. I am updated on vaccines, am heartworm and parasite free, and am on heartworm preventative medication.
