About Latte

Lovely little Latte is 1 year old and weighs 10 lbs. The diminutive rattie mix, who looks like she has inherited a touch of Chihuahua and Italian greyhound, definitely displays some personality traits of each breed. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but she can show them a bit of Chihuahua attitude--perhaps even a snap--if they get too close to her food or toys. She also has an Italian Greyhound's penchant for being overly dramatic to the point of being comical. Once, when she was walking on leash with her foster mom, she started to cry out when some raindrops hit her! Latte is friendly and playful with family members. She loves to play fetch and will even try to get the ball from you before you throw it. If you bounce it hard, she'll leap like a graceful gazelle to snatch it midair. She can be a bit mouthy when she plays, so she should not go to a home with very young children. Around new dogs and people, Latte can be somewhat guarded especially if they're coming into her home, so she'll need slow introductions with plenty of monitoring and treats to provide the best outcome. Latte is working hard to become fully house-trained. At the point, you can trust her to reliably use pee pads indoors.
