About Ella

Adoption Fee: $100.00
Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Ella is a 5yo female lab/pit mix. She is a medium sized girl weighing around 50lbs. My Husband and I adopted her from the AZ Humane Society when she was just a puppy. She was spayed, microchipped at that time. Ella is an energetic, spunky girl who at the end of the day loves to cuddle and sleep under blankets. We do have another dog in the house who she has grown up with. Ella is house and kennel trained. She has been around other dogs in the past but not as often recently. She has never been around cats or other domestic animals. Her medical history is short, her shots are not up to date, but we are planning to do so in the next month. This month, August 2022 she finished a course of antibiotics and medical baths for a bacterial skin and ear infection that has since completely cleared. She does have allergies that we have been maintaining with Benadryl. With her last vet visit, the vet did recommend a possible allergy regimen. We did welcome a baby boy in 2019 which was an adjustment for Ella. Now that our son is a rambunctious toddler, Ella often runs the other direction or stays in her kennel. She has never shown aggression or teeth towards our toddler. My husband and I feel as though we are not servicing her needs anymore. We live in a small space and with full time jobs, full time school, a toddler and a baby on the way, the attention we give her has unfortunately dwindled. In turn she has become very anxious, nervous and restless. We feel as though she needs a home/owner that can help her expel her energy and have the time to improve her social skills. She becomes vocal with strangers but is wagging her tail the whole time. She needs reassurance and positive reinforcement.
