About Cory Bear

HI! I'M CORY BEAR AND I'M SCHEDULED FOR SPAY AND HEARTWORM TREATMENT AUGUST 25. PLEASE DON'T PASS ME BY BECAUSE OF THE INDICATION I AM NOT SPAYED AND HAVE HEARTWORMS!! I am a sweet and precious Pit Mix. I showed up on the front porch of some very kind people as a skeleton with skin attached about a month ago. I was taken into a cool house for the night and to the vet the next day. Dr. Cory indicated had I not been brought into the home that evening, I would have died in a few days. I am between one year and 18 months old, and had hookworms, had had a litter of puppies, was heartworm positive and needed to be spayed. The lady who brought me in, on the spur of the moment, because she is such a dog lover and felt so sorry for me, told him she wanted to keep me. I was named Cory after the vet, and then Bear later. I have been fully vaccinated; the hookworms are gone. I have been fed so well and am no longer malnourished. I am such a quiet little girl. I respond to 'no' and 'eheh' to stop me from doing something. Despite being mistreated, beaten from the scars displayed on me and the callus on my neck from a too-tight collar, I am a very sweet girl; you can get right in my face and I won't even lick your nose. I love to play and run. Being a puppy at heart still, I will need supervision. Making the decision to keep me on the spur of the moment was not a good idea for my new parents. They are wonderful but they are both in their 70s with health issues and have caretaker duties for an elderly relative. I am so strong now, my mom is unable to walk me on a lease. I need leash training. But I can sit on command. I REALLY NEED an active family with kids or perhaps other dogs. I am so very sweet and playful, I am quite sure I would love a doggy playmate. I know Pits and Pit Mixes are hard to place, but I am so sweet and so gentle, I would make an adorable family pet. I live inside the house since it is so hot outside. I am housebroken. My new parents are just too old to take care of me since I am so young and strong, and I so need a playmate(s). I deserve a lot of love because I have a lot of love to give. I am also a snuggler and love to be scratched and petted. I pray I can be placed in a loving home soon. I am in a loving home now, but I need to give my new folks some relief!! I have beautiful, expressive eyes and I melt your heart when I look at you so sweetly! PLEASE HELP ME FIND A FOREVER HOME! Thank you so much!
