Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Buddha Age: 1 year Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix, large, 80# Sex: Male (neutered ). Location: Riverside County, California VET INFORMATION: Buddha is neutered, but he is not microchipped. He is up to date on his vaccinations, and he is on heartworm preventative. Buddha has been diagnosed with Retinal Degeneration often termed PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). Eventually, Buddha will be completely blind, but now he has some vision. Otherwise, he is healthy. OWNER INFORMATION: Buddha has been with his owner since he was a puppy, but, sadly, his owner passed away recently. His current caretaker cannot afford to keep him. Buddha is an outdoor dog who is not housebroken, but he is leash trained and knows the cue for sit. He's an outgoing boy who can be shy at times. However, he's good with men, women, and teenagers, as well as male and female dogs. Buddha has never shown aggression to a person or other animal, and he has no bite history. His caretaker feels that he adapts well to new situations and surroundings despite his vision impairment because her daughter watched him a couple of times, and he navigated around the house easily and got along well with her male Doberman Pinscher and male Chihuahua. Buddha gets somewhat possessive with his toys; he doesn't snarl or get aggressive, he just won't let you play with them. He has a wubble ball that he lets his caregiver throw for him but he takes it straight back to his safe place. She thinks that he just needs to figure out how to play. His caretaker would like you to know: 'He is a sweet, loving Pit Bull that needs a loving home.' Does anyone have room for sweet Buddha? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
