*** PLEASE READ! *** To learn more about our available dogs, watch videos, or apply to adopt - YOU MUST LEAVE THIS SITE and visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com Hazel is an absolutely WONDERUL 1.5 year old girl, who looks to be a German Wirehaired Pointer, or possibly Pointing Griffon mix. She embodies the classic characteristics of both breeds! She is fast, strong, agile and athletic. This is not a breed who will be content to lay on the couch day after day. The world is her playground, and she came to play! If you're looking for the perfect running/hiking partner - look NO FURTHER than sweet Hazel! She loves to play and loves her toys. She also loves snuggling with you on the sofa when she's tired. She has a very sweet disposition and if anything, she wants to give you too much love. She's a hugger. You're just going to have to resign yourself and your guests that Hazel will give you, /9and everyone else) lots of hugs. In her past, she had no one to help empty her 'hug tank.' Now that she is living a life shrouded in love, she wants to share her constantly full hug tank with ALL THE FRIENDS! Although she's very sweet, her high energy might be too much for younger children. We feel that Hazel would excel in a family with older or grown children. She would do well as an only dog, or with another larger, active dog to play with. These breeds are incredibly intelligent, and (As with all of our dogs) positive reinforcement training will be required by her adopters. She will EXCEL! Hazel can be a bit mouthy when requesting attention, but can be redirected with positive reinforcement and treats. Hazel lived her life on a chain with no shade and no love. She is now learning how to be an indoor dog, and potty training is coming along. She is doing well with her crate training, and sleeps there at night with no problems. You haven't lived until you've gotten one of Hazel's famous hugs, so apply today and see what makes this beautiful girl so very special! KNOWN HISTORY - Hazel has spent the first year of her life living on a short chain, in the blazing Oklahoma heat. She had no shade, and most of the time no fresh water. She was VERY skinny and had horrific ear infections when she was first brought into rescue. She has gained her weight, her ears are healthy, and she's ready to find a wonderful family who will show her that there is so much more to life than a 6'۷ chain. *** PLEASE READ! *** To learn more about our available dogs, watch videos, or apply to adopt - YOU MUST LEAVE THIS SITE and visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com
