About Oreo

Oreo is a one-year-old, approximately 55-pound, border collie/lab mix who was pulled from a kill shelter in Georgia. He is now in a foster home closer to Florida adopters. Oreo is very much a Velcro dog and loves to be with his people. He is great with other dogs and good with children. He is still very puppy-like, and he is currently working on commands and manners. He will benefit greatly from additional training. He is currently recovering from surgery from an obstruction (the culprit was a cloth), so he cannot have any towels or blankets in his crate. Oreo is an active boy, and he will do best with an active family that can take him along on camping trips, water play, hiking, jogging, or any activity! He may work well as a performance dog as well. All around, he is a good natured, sweet, family dog. He has been vetted, neutered, had his shots, and been chipped. He is heartworm negative. He is housebroken, crate trained, and loves to play with toys. We are in need of a Florida foster or adopter for him so we can get him down from Georgia. He is soooo ready for his new home!!
