About Teddy

Courtesy post for Teddy 'Sweet, lovable, laid back Teddy needs immediate help. His person is a new mom and is getting ready to dump him. She admits that he's perfect in almost every way: house trained, not destructive, walks well on leash, and laid back personality. He has no interest in cats and has not been introduced to other dogs but is non reactive when walking past them. Teddy weighs 47lbs, is 9 years old, neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm testing. He is fearful of thunderstorms and it takes him a bit to warm up to strangers. He is exceptionally nervous around small children after a 2 year old child fell on him. Cynde says 'We had the pleasure of meeting Teddy and his people today. We were able to see how loving and gentle he is with people that he trusts. He is nervous when meeting new people but when totally ignored he eventually comes around. We brought a kitten with us and he passed his cat test. Teddy is great in the house ( not destructive at all). He walks beautifully on the leash and ignores strangers and other dogs. He has never been introduced to another dog. This 47lb, 9 year old, totally vetted boy would do well with a patient person, who will allow him to set the pace. Teddy would thrive in a quiet home or apartment with a solid routine. Can anyone give this sweet boy who loves to cuddle a chance? He is located in Baltimore City but has transport to any location.
