About Thor

Thor is an AMAZING dog. He loves going for hikes and swimming or just being out where he has plenty of space of his own. He does not do very well with other dogs though, despite growing up with them his whole life he has a reactivity problem and does not accept new dogs easily at all. We are rehoming him because he has started attacking our other two dogs at random and has gotten to the point that he needs to be separated from them at all times. He may get used to another dog but can be quite unpredictable when it comes to it. He absolutely LOVES cats and while he can be standoffish at first, he warms up to cats the fastest and has never hurt one. He has NEVER bitten or even attempted to bite a person but will growl/bark and remove himself from the situation where new people are introduced. He has tried multiple medications and CBD oil/treats for his severe anxiety problem to no avail. He has never been abused but vets say he is genetically a high anxiety dog. He needs to be in a home where the person or persons can work with him to try and live his best life despite his issue. He would do best in a house with no children as he doesn't like a ton of activity in his own home. We are asking a rehoming fee to ensure he ends up in a home where he will be properly taken care of and we ask that if for any reason things don't work out, we get reached out to to take him back. I DO NOT WANT HIM TO END UP IN A SHELTER. His anxiety would not take it. We will take him back until a new situation is figured out. We are extremely devastated that the situation has come to this but he is no longer as happy as we know he could be in our house.
