About Poncho

Poncho is a big boned boy, and not as fast as polished steel. The coons he chased he couldn't catch, His owner said you can't be real. Poncho needs his match you know, someone who wants to take him home. Nobody hears his crying words, but that's the way it goes. Us in ADA we say, You can adopt him any day. Please don't let him slip away, Show your kindness, take him home. A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Poncho, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are schedule adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
