ARRF has new puppies available for adoption! They are all adorable little tykes, probably a mixture of Chihuahua, Terrier, and possibly a little Jack Russell. Whatever mix they are, it's is very charming! The puppies were born on May 30 of this year. There are three boys and a girl, and their mom is also available for adoption. All ARRF adoptees will have up-to-date shots, be microchipped, and will have been spayed/neutered when they become adoptable. Puppies should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats. Of course, all puppies will need you to continue working with housetraining. Puppies need attention, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or be able to make frequent visits during the day. ARRF strongly encourages puppy adopters to enroll in positive reinforcement classes as early as possible to ensure that these youngsters can 'be all they can be.' It will make a tremendous difference in your mutual appreciation and enjoyment of each other. Penny, their mother, has had some food deprivation in her day, and she is new enough to her foster home that she gets nervous if she can't see her foster mom who is her food source. She's an intelligent little dog and extremely sweet. She will jump into your lap and wants to give you kisses. Penny will do much better if she gets adopted by someone who works from home or is home a good share of the day. She gets along with the dogs belonging to her foster mom and ignores the cats in the house. Penny is an apricot color. The pups are Chewbacca, Han, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia. Their coloring varies from pup to pup. Chewbacca and Han are black and tan. Luke and Leia are beige and white. The pups and their mom are fostered in the El Cajon area of San Diego.
