Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email [email protected]. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit. Bonded pair Baby and her son Woo were sadly surrendered by their longtime owner due to his struggle with dementia. We believe they were well loved and cared for, as they are happy and healthy 'young seniors'..... Baby is 9, and Woo, 7. They are Bichons, and very friendly with other dogs, cats and people. They enjoy a nice stroll followed by a long nap. They walk perfectly on a leash. They cuddle together a lot, but also love to cuddle with their people. They are both sweet and well behaved, however Baby does not care for 'treatments' such as nail clipping and ear cleaning, so might have to be muzzled for that, or have the vet perform these. Woo is tolerant of anything and everything. They gladly sleep in their foster Mom's bed with her, but would likely be just as happy snuggling on a nice bed of their own. They are very well housetrained, making it through the night 8 hours, and during the day at least 5 hours (that is all that has been tested as of yet....). Neither currently requires any medication, although both would benefit from losing a few pounds. If you are looking for an easy going, anxiety-free, housetrained duo that just want to find a family to love them again, Baby and Woo are for you!
