About Romi

Adoption Fee: $400
Chihuahua
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Romi is a sweet boy weighing just 5 pounds. He is estimated to be 6 years old and is being fostered in Palm Coast, Florida. Updated Bio 8/8/22: Romi joined UYR after he was found wandering the streets. Animal control decided Romi should not be returned to his previous home. During his wellness exam, it was discovered that he needed surgery to fix his leg and hip. He is still a young little guy (approx. 6 yrs old), with high energy and he loves to chase lizards. He is kind of Alpha and likes to be first. Romi does like to bark so the best home for him would not be a condo. He would love a fenced-in backyard as he just loves the outdoors. Romi still has a few potty accidents in the house but he will go on pads. Sometimes he misses the paper, but he tries. Romi gets along with the other doggies in the house but he is tiny so big dogs might take advantage of him or hurt him. In his previous home, the bigger doggies picked on him and would steal his food so he was a bit underweight when he arrived at his foster mommy's house. He doesn't ever want to be bullied again so the other doggies in the home should be around his size and not aggressive. He is the sweetest little boy despite the neglect he has endured in his previous home. Romi loves to eat! He has a big appetite and is slowly gaining some badly needed weight. He also(delete) loves to roam around his foster mom's big fenced-in backyard and lay on the patio in the warm sun. He gets along very well with his foster mom's other pups. Even though Romi was neglected in his past he still loves to cuddle and give big kisses! Since Romi is so small it's in his best interest to be adopted into a home with no small children. Romi still needs 3 more Physical Therapy appointments and he should be ready to move into his forever home in September. Romi could need his new parents to continue exercising his leg to maintain his recovery.
