When TBoy came to New Rattitude in late spring of this year, the perilously plump pup was in a pickle. A rat terrier who weighed a whopping 31 lbs., TBoy had, at the young age of 5, suddenly become unable to walk or stand, and he needed emergency care. At first it was thought that he might be facing a grave problem with the disks in his neck, complicated by his obesity. However, after further evaluation, a more optimistic diagnosis was reached and following a week of treatment using both traditional and Eastern medicine, TBoy was standing and walking! TBoy has turned out to be a smart, affectionate, and playful boy, who loves his Kong toy and playing with the other dogs in the house. He hopes you'll have a canine companion for him to play with too. Dog play is an excellent way for him to have fun while exercising. He's house-trained and walks well on a leash--another plus for helping him continue to lose weight. His new focus on fitness and good nutrition has already produced results. He has lost 6 lbs., a little more than half of what he needs to lose to reach his goal weight of 20 lbs. Be inspired and inspiring at the same time by helping this fine fellow continue his journey towards a bright future filled with good health. You can catch a video and more pics of TBoy in his online photo album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/tboysalbum ---------------------------------------------------- IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING TBOY, please go to New Rattitude's website at https://newrattitude.org/adopt/, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
