Katie is a very sweet pug mix who is mostly passive when it comes to interacting with other dogs and people. Katie is mostly deaf, but can see very well. She loves to cuddle in your lap and have her neck scratched. Her joints are older and a little stiff, so she is on some medication to keep her comfortable. Katie feels very strongly about her meals. She likes to eat often (small meals three or four times a day), but has been known to go on hunger strikes if the menu isn't to her liking. When Katie first got to her foster home she was very underweight. By feeding her fresh flavorful food a few times a day Katie was able to put on a couple of pounds, but she could benefit from gaining another pound or so. Katie loves to go on short walks around the block when it's not too hot outside. Because she is older she requires patience and understanding when she goes on walks. She's not very fast and likes to stop often to sniff. Katie also loves car rides and does very well in the car. Katie has not been observed around cats, but based on her behavior around other dogs and people Katie would probably do just fine with cats in the house.
