About Sam

Sam, affectionately known as 'Best Boy' in his foster home, is an absolute heart-stealer with his stunning golden eyes and charming cow-print coat. This sweet pup is known for his unwavering loyalty, affectionate nature, and his eagerness to please. Sam simply craves all the love, pets, and cuddles that you can offer! Although Sam may start off a bit shy, it doesn't take long for him to warm up once he feels secure. He is incredibly loving and attentive towards his humans, giving the most heartfelt hugs and kisses. While Sam may find it challenging to share your attention with other dogs, he does get along well with them through slow and proper introductions. He has even made great progress in learning to share his toys with his foster siblings, but supervision and redirection are still important. Sam's perfect home would be one where he can be the shining star, surrounded by toys, treats, and endless affection. While a yard with a 5-foot tall fence would greatly benefit him, it is not a necessity if his family is active and committed to providing him with frequent outings. Sam is currently learning proper leash manners and responds positively to reassurance and praise during walks. He thrives on attention and enjoys learning new things, already knowing commands like 'sit,' 'wait,' and 'leave it.' Additionally, he is making excellent progress in recall and 'stay' training. Just like any puppy, Sam will thrive in a loving environment with consistent positive reinforcement training and set boundaries. While he may feel a bit nervous during car rides, Sam finds immense comfort in reassurance and love from his humans. He is already house-trained and crate trained! DOB 11/25/2021. He is gaining weight and is about 38lbs currently; Bulldog mix. As part of Sam's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
