About Sven

This handsome boy was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter by his owner because he was just too strong for her. It's true - he doesn't know his own size very well. But he's so friendly he's hoping someone will fall in love with him soon and spring him from the shelter! And once he's gotten some energy out he's much gentler on the leash and has an average to low energy level. His name is Sven and he's mostly just interested in getting attention. He's well trained and already knows how to sit on command and give you his paw. Sven even knows how to switch paws if you ask him too! He's done well playing dress up and is very treat motivated. Sven's' previous owner says he's been good around kids and cats previously. For the good around other dogs part she checked both very tolerant and aggressive - perhaps Sven is selective with other dogs? You're always welcome to bring your dog in to meet him to see if they'd be a good match - just stop by anytime we're open! Sven is just shy of 3YO. He's a German Shepherd mix who came into the shelter on 7/21/22. He weighs 74 lbs.
