About Waverly

Meet Waverly! She is an 11 month old (we think, don't know exact birthday), spayed, mixed breed pup looking for her furever home. Waverly is currently living in Santa Barbara, CA with a foster family that is unable to continue to foster her. She had some trauma as a young pup, and therefore can be timid with newer people. She tends to warm up more quickly to women over men, but there have been some men who she's warmed up to very fast as well. Her original owner was an abusive alcoholic, and he did not get her started on the right foot. Waverly has been slowly socialized with people. Children are a bit much for her, so being in a home without kids would be ideal. She loves to play with other dogs, but have noticed she can become food aggressive at meal times if sharing her space with other dogs. Future home would ideally have her as a solo dog, or with an owner who knows how to work with a dog with food aggression towards other dogs. Waverly is a sweetheart once she warms up, and is such a cuddle bug! She's been handed a rough start to life, but with some patience and love, she'll be sure to prosper.
