About Kermit

Mastiff / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hi, I'm Kermit, and I'm a big goober. I was taken to the shelter by a family with kids who loved me. Their landlord didn't love me, though, so my family brought me to a high-kill animal shelter. The shelter volunteers called the nice people at Outta the Cage, and told them what a good boy I am. They came and saved me! Don't let my roly-poly physique fool you, I'm an active dude! Not only do I love a nice neighborhood walk, I really have fun running alongside a bicycle with my ears flapping in the breeze. I lived in a home with kids 5 and 7 years old and really loved them. I can be anxious around other dogs and generally avoid them. I am house trained and crate trained and walk well on leash. I am living with my trainer John and we are working on car rides right now. I'd love a home with a backyard where I can poke around and relax in the sun. (When I do that, they call me 'The Baked Potato.') Do you know a family who might want a buddy to hang out with? I'm their guy! Adoption application: https://outtathecage.org/applications
