About Boomer

Boomer would love to be your personal assistant. This handsome 14-lb. rattie mix is 11 1/2 years old, but he's nowhere near retirement age. He'll personally assist you in keeping your property critter free by patrolling the fence line in search of mice, squirrels, birds, or any other living thing that might be considering crossing the border into his-- we mean, YOUR backyard. He'll also personally assist as your guardian of the front by alerting you to anything outside that he perceives as a potential concern. You'll never have to worry about being surprised by an unexpected guest with Boomer as your buddy. When Boomer is off duty, he enjoys playing with toys, eating, being with you, and giving you kisses. He is completely house-trained and considerate enough to wait quietly for you to wake up in the morning despite the fact that he was awake hours earlier and ready to get back to work. While Boomer gets along with all the dogs in his foster home, he really would prefer a quieter home with only one other dog at most. Lots of dogs (i.e. barking and activity) can make him anxious. In fact, it's a good bet that young children would have the same effect. His dream home would probably be much like the one he came from, where he lived with a single woman (retired) for over eight years before having to return to New Rattitude when she died. He would love to be with someone who is retired or home most of the day, who would truly appreciate having a devoted companion and who would enjoy doting on Boomer. Boomer does have some skin allergies that require a special diet (average cost less than $25 per month), and he takes daily medications for his allergies and thyroid, but these are very inexpensive.
