Due to having lived in a 4 by 6 pen without much human contact, new things are frightening to him. A secure fenced yard is a requirement without exception, and at this time, we do not recommend for him to go into a home with young children. He does bark but is not aggressive. Time, patience, and an understanding of dogs like him will be key in winning over a lifelong friend. It will take him loads of time to warm up to someone new, and with strangers, he will run away from them over allowing touch initially. Once he trusts someone, he is a loving little boy. Camello is working on house training and will most likely need a belly band somewhere new to discourage marking initially.
