About Duncan

LLOCATION: Arlington, Texas AGE/DOB: 2 years LADIES, LADIES! There's plenty for all of you! I'm Duncan and I am looking for a place to crash! Yes, I am a looker but we should probably talk before you fall in love. My mama rescued me from a shelter after my first family decided they didn't want me and I got loose! A nice man picked me up and took me to the shelter. I hitched a ride to my first foster but soon after got really sick with kennel cough and THAT became pneumonia!! I almost died - and that is no bull!! (Vaccinations, people!!) Once I got to feeling better, my mama showed up again to spring me from the ER vet and we went home! For weeks, my mama fed me peanut butter sandwiches with pills (she thought she was slick) and held me down for breathing treatments but after a few weeks I was healthy as a horse again!! And wild as a buck deer! See, I'm young, 2 years old! I got lots of growing to do and I need lots of structure, because I'm already a big ole boy at 145 lbs. I got lots of good traits! I am obviously handsome, I am a fast learner and I love food! I'll do most anything for a cookie or kibble! I love balls and have learned to bring them back! I have the Dane lean down to a science and love to be close to my person! I am loyal beyond measure according to my mama. I LOVE TO SNUGGLE! I am learning basic commands and if food is involved, you have my full attention. NOW.here is where it gets a little hairy. I attach very quickly to a person. My foster mom is the best and I really don't care for anyone else. My friends at the rescue found me a great home once and I really liked the guy but there was another human who wanted to share time and that wasn't really my thing so the nice guy brought me back to my mama after I bit the other human. My mama says I am a good boy with bad habits so she locked me down and made me earn all of my freedoms back. She's tough but she has taken such good care of me that I know we did it right. I'm not a huge fan of strangers at first and so mom is working on training me with a muzzle so that everyone, including me, stays safe and I can meet new people and have fun outings! So, if you have a low traffic home without lots of humans and know how to safely introduce me to friends and family (and vets, because who likes the doctor??), we could be a match made in heaven!! OH!! I live with FIVE sister dogs and we play and play and play!! They are my best friends and have helped teach me the ropes so I think a fur sibling (or a few!!) would be awesome!
