About Simon

Simon!! CHUSKY ALERT! This handsome boy was found roaming the streets of Houston and brought to a local shelter. Simon is super cute! Timid for about 5 seconds but as soon as he smells you he is all love and pets. Loves pets! Playful too - like a puppy. He looks pretty young to me. Very sweet boy. Had no problem parking his butt in a pool! That's right - Simon is a Chow-Husky mix. And when you combine those two breeds, you definitely get a special pup!!! We think he is about 1 years old and weighs 40lbs, and 100% sweet! Simon has been super friendly with every person and dog he has met so far! He walks well on a leash and even lets our volunteers pick him up and just is a total love bug! Simon is a very energetic young boy who will need some training and regular engagement, such as doggie daycare, long walks (or shorter runs with this heat!!). His needs will be a little different than a straight chow. Think food puzzles, chuck-its, pools, running, hiking, agility, etc. Really anything to keep their mind occupied and an outlet for that higher-energy husky personality. An active family is a must for this boy!! He is currently in boarding.
