About Auggie

Hi - My name is Auggie, and I'd really like to be someone's new doggie. I am ~ 4 years old, and weigh about 90 lbs. To be honest, I've had a challenging start in this world. The past two years, I've been in foster care. I came to the good folks at Golden Bond as a local rescue. When I arrived at GBR, I was quite the anxious pup who was very fearful of loud noises like the TV and cars. For the past year, I've had the good fortune to be paired with one of the best trainers in Portland. I have been working on my issues and am so much better now. The tradeoff with having such a wonderful coach is that I have been living in a kennel setting. If you lived in a dorm on campus in college and can remember how much you looked forward to moving off campus, then you know how I feel right now! People say they can see it in my eyes. I'm so ready to spring this 'doggie dorm' and find my family and my permanent home, complete with my own soft bed and a mellow, calm vibe. Want more specifics about me and my ideal setting? Let me expound: * I've lived with another dog. * If you have a laid-back female dog, I would be good with that. But I'd also be perfectly content being an 'only dog' with my humans. * I'm not a jumper and I don't need big hikes or lots of activity. * Green Acres is the place for Me! I am meant to live the rural life. * I seek wide open spaces. If you have large, fenced areas where I can roam, we need to talk. * Truth be told, I'm kind of a mellow, lazy boy who likes to just flop down, chill out, and soak in life. * I love both men and women and would be a great companion to anyone in the family who likes to go out and putter in the shop or garden or curl up with a good book. * I'm house trained! *****ADOPTION FEE: $600 plus $35 microchip fee***** Auggie is being fostered in the Portland, OR area.
