About BELLA

Okay everyone, we really need your help finding BELLA a new home! She is not doing well in foster care and we need to get her placed soon. Bella is a 9 year old, 14.6 pound Chihuahua mix. She is the perfect dog for somebody looking for their perfect pup, and she must be an only dog in a home with no kids. With her person she is a real sweetheart, and loyal to the core. But she does not like to share with other dogs. There has to be somebody out there with no other dogs looking for a cute little lap dog! We are reducing her adoption fee to $200 to help her find her home. Bella is adorable, housebroken, affectionate, and loves to cuddle. She freely gives kisses, and she is always very happy to see you. She greets you with her tail wagging like crazy! During the day she likes to be near you, but isn't clingy. At night she snuggles up in the big bed with you. Bella should be in a home where she spends a decent amount of time with her family, and would be great for a retired or stay at home person or couple. She's not a good fit for kids, and we are unsure about cats but since she does not like to share her attention we would say probably not. Bella is looking for someone special who wants only one loving companion! That said, she may not be your friend in the first minutes she meets you. She's a sweet dog but she gets very attached to her person, who at this point is her foster mom. That loyalty will need to switch to you. Once it does she'll be the best friend you ever had! Bella has been to the vet for wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Applicants should live within a 1-2 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
