About Rena

Rena (pronounced like Jenna but with an R) is the sweetest girl!! She is well behaved, crate trained, potty trained, and very responsive. Her favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and look up at you. She is looking for someone that will give her a loving, peaceful environment she feels safe in for the rest of her senior years. She is at least 5 or 6 years old, we are uncertain of her age. She likes car rides and going for short walks. She gets spurts of energy and then likes to take naps. She's super loving and gentle with people (including kids). She is gentle when taking treats - one of her favorite things! She responds to 'sit.' She is potty trained and hasn't had any issues going to the bathroom. She is crate trained, she will go in her crate by herself, however she prefers to have the door left open when possible so she can go in and out. She loves her bed and sleeps with her comfort stuffed doggy. She came to us scared and malnourished, and she is getting more and more energy, strength, and confidence with each passing day! She initially was struggling with stairs, but she is getting better and better at stairs as she is getting her strength back. She's very sweet and gets excited with attention, she doesn't whine or bark unless she feels scared she will do a little growl but stops when told no. She needs to feel safe and other animals sometimes scare her, but she might be okay in a home with another dog as long as the dog and calm and gentle with her.
