About Chester

Please read entire post. I know it's long but I took a lot of time to put the info in here about Chester. Chester is a very sweet and quiet boy. He was found abandoned behind a shop. The workers had been leaving him food but reached out because it started to get cold (November 2021) and Chester was losing hair. He went to a vet and we were told he had a severe flea allergy and it caused him to have bad mange and with that he lost about 70% of his eyesight. He has great hearing! He's been kept on simperica and recovered. We bathe him organic oatmeal shampoo (I get it at Atwood's and he will come with a bar). I bathe him once a week and is the easiest to bathe! Just stands there and let you do whatever. I have been keeping his hair trimmed also. One of Chester's favorite things is long naps. He enjoys them inside but if I'm outside he finds a cool place. He's so laid back! Never barks or chews up anything. Give him a bed or blanket and he's content. We're not sure of age or breed so I guessed. He does not shed. Possibly around 5-8 years old. Around 12lbs. He is good with kids but due to him not being able to see well I think it would be best if he goes to a home with no little ones running around. He can't see to well and would hate someone to trip and hurt him or themselves. He does like to follow you around everywhere. Chester uses a doggy door perfect. Took him a little bit but after about a week or 2 he figured it out. Does his business and comes back in. He's 100%potty trained. He likes Iams mini chunks and I mix it with a little canned food. Chester has been around other dogs, cats and farm animals. He gets a little aggravated with very hyper and playful dogs. So a home with more laid back companions would be best.
