URGENT/SOS/Code Red! FOSTER NEEDED A volunteer from a local animal shelter reached out this evening w/a desperate plea. ONE OF HER FAVORITE DOGS IS SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED TMRW @ NOON DUE TO LACK OF SPACE. Sweetie loves people of all ages. She was surrendered to the shelter for her own safety.. the youngest child in the home has ADHD & he threw things at her in his rages. Still, Sweetie would go cuddle up with him afterward. This dog is truly special. Sweetie has been fully vetted. She's 4 yrs and 53 lbs. She's so calm & quiet in her kennel even when the other dogs are going nuts.�%A0She never makes a mess in her kennel. She's housetrained & crate trained and walks great on a leash. She loves water & people. She's a joy. She has approx 12 hours left w/o our help! Here is what her kennel tech posted about her on his FB page: 'Sweetie is honestly my favorite dog at the shelter right now. I absolutely love this girl. She is great in so many ways. So we'll behaved. She hasn't tested 'dog friendly' in the shelter environment, so she does need to be the only pet in her new home at first. But she is so deserving of that. She never gets riled up inside & if she is not going outside she will be found curled up on her bed. She has low to moderate energy outside & she is truly so sweet & such an awesome girl. I know that it's rare for people to have no other pets but she's the perfect nomination for someone who has no other pets & wants their first dog because she's awesome .' The city shelters are currently forced to euthanize happy healthy dogs & cats EVERY DAY simply because there are too many coming in. Please help us save this one.
