Hi. My name is Ramona. I'm looking for a home who will appreciate my happy-go-lucky innocent personality. I love other dogs and children. I sleep quietly in my crate at night, but also love sleeping on the bed with my people when they invite me. I'm working on manners like leash walking and not jumping up on folks. I'm very affectionate, but don't have much time for snuggling - who can sit still that long? I'm a bit fearful in new situations and take some time to come out of my shell. But once I do, it's game on! Fireworks, gun shots, and other sudden loud noises terrify me, so I'd be safest in a fenced yard where I can't take off if something scares me. Plus, I have a lot of energy to work off between naps. Did I mention I make the cutest little noises when I'm relaxing and falling asleep? Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
