Would do best with another dog in the family. 3. Children should be 12 and older. 1 year old male Lab/Basset mix, about 36 pounds. Hello, my name is Nordstrom. I am looking for my forever family. I am a happy and affectionate companion that loves to play, beg for belly rubs and cuddle with my humans. I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up to people pretty quickly and you will find that once I do, I will be your new best friend. I'm pretty laid back and don't bark much. I love to play with other dogs and am curious about cats. I love to play with rubber balls but squeaky plush toys tend to lose their stuffing and squeakers pretty quickly. I don't know how that happens! I will sleep in my kennel at night, but have no problem being trusted lose in the house if you leave for a few hours. I am potty trained and have learned to use a doggy door. I know how to sit and lay and will always roll over for belly rubs. I look forward to meeting you! I would like a home with other dogs and a big, fenced yard, as I tend to be afraid out in the big world. I would still like to learn about leash walking and going to the park, but it is going to take another confident doggie pal by my side to help me. Rambunctious kiddos are not my favorite, but teenagers that would like a lap dog while playing video games would be awesome! Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
