About Anastasia (Ana)

LOCATION: Holland, Michigan DOB: 3/9/2021 Meet Miss Ana (Anastasia if you want to call her by her fancy name). Ana's eyes and ears may not be as strong as other dogs, but her heart sure is. If running and jumping activities are your thing, Ana is all in - that's the Catahoula in her! And when she is done, she will let you know she is ready for some snuggle time - this girl LOVES to snuggle! She doesn't realize she has needs - she just knows she is special. If snuggling, Dane hugs, and a little patience are your thing, she may be your perfect girl. Ana is special in other ways too. She is good with her people and her pack but is skittish with new people. She is currently being muzzled during introductions. She warms up to females quickly but is not a huge fan of men. She will need a low-key, low-traffic home with no kids and she will need an owner experienced with special behavior needs. Ana is particular about what kind of dog she can be with. She is not her best self with dogs that she sees as weak. She needs to be with a young, dominant male dog that will help Ana know her place in the pecking order. She also needs to be fed separately. Cats? She likes to chase and harass them. She is super smart - typical of the Catahoula breed. She's so smart that she has figured out how to Houdini her way out of her crate. This girl is very special. She's looking for a companion to help continue her training and who is comfortable being her eyes and ears. She has a lot of energy and has the makings of an amazing dog.
