About Alice

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas AGE/DOB: 5 years, 03/18/2017 Alice is beautiful, low energy lady who is good with all people, including kids. Although, she is not always aware of her size (over 100 lbs) so (as with any dog!), but she would be fine unattended around children. She loves all people. Alice wants to go and say hi to anyone she comes across. She loves to cuddle but does not want you to rest your weight on top of her. (Another note to keep in mind for young kids!) She may give a low growl to tell you she's fearful of being pinned down, but never aggressive in any way. She likes her space but will come snuggle up next to you when she's ready. She does not resource guard with people or other dogs, and can be fed easily with others dogs within the house. (She is food and treat motivated.) Alice also prefers dogs similar to her size. Alice can be gradually introduced to smaller dogs and seems to do well but she is very reactive to barking. Even if a dog she's friendly with starts barking she can become triggered and needs continual supervision but overall is friendly meeting all new pups. She walks great on a leash but if she sees a squirrel or if a dog is reactive towards her first, she may pull but is overall very obedient. She is house trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She doesn't mind her crate but there's really no need for it because she can be left to roam unattended. She is terrified of thunderstorms and can be anxious in the car but with more familiarity that might pass.
