Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Bleu Age: 2 years old, born 6/17/2020 Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix, medium, 41# Sex: Male, not neutered Location: Lancaster County, Pennsylvania VET INFORMATION: Bleu is not neutered and not microchipped. He is current with vaccinations and is on heartworm preventative. His owner reports that he lost his sight overnight but has always had signs of impairment, for example sizing up the stairs before going up or down them. Bleu woke up one morning and began running into things. Otherwise, Bleu is very healthy. OWNER INFORMATION: Bleu is very loving and friendly, and his owner bonded with him easily. When Bleu lost his sight suddenly, his owners felt that they didn't know how to properly care for him any longer since both work and he would be alone for long periods of time. He is an indoor dog with the run of the house. Bleu is housebroken and leash trained. Although he hasn't had formal obedience training, Bleu knows cues for sit, lay, no, yes, go, and stop! Bleu is an outgoing dog who is good with people of all ages, male and female dogs, and small animals. His owner tells us that Bleu has always loved socializing with other dogs both large and small. He frequented dog parks, and he also stayed with a dog for a week when his owner went on vacation. Two of the photos attached are of Bleu and his buddy! Bleu whines when he sees other dogs because he wants to play with them. Most of the time he lays down being submissive until the other dog decides whether to play or not. Bleu is not possessive with treats, toys, or food, and he's never shown aggression to people or other animals. He has no bite history. His owner feels that he has adapted well to his loss of sight because Bleu has learned to navigate the house, yard, and his walking route very well. His owner would like you to know: 'Please help him. We love him very much and want him to be happy.' Does anyone have room for sweet Bleu?
