About Sherry Jo

Adoption Fee: $350
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Alright folks LISTEN up. This sweet girl is Sherry Jo (or Sher bear, sherbet, sherby). She is a 75lb, 3 y/o German Shepard mix and she is SWEET AS PIEٴ. This southern girl made her way up north in April and we can't figure out why she hasn't been scooped up yet. Since she has been with us for 3+ months we have now gotten to see her true personality. She has grown from a timid girl unsure of her surroundings to a loyal sidekick who has her playful quirks. She would be content lounging on the couch or the deck with you all day, but she does love a nice walk. Her favorite game to play with her resident fur brother is keep away . And if you're going for a car ride she sure hopes you're taking her with you. She does great with dogs, kids, and dog savvy cats. She hopes for a home with a comfy couch, lots of the good treats, and family who will love her as much as she loves them (which will be a LOT). Sherry Jo is house trained and crate trained, but is trusted to have free roam. She is a heartworm survivor %9D%A4%8Fջ%8F%BC and is up to date on all vaccines/preventatives. If Sherry Jo sounds like the perfect fit for your family, come out and meet her in Lehighton, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help.
