About Reika

Reika is a 3.5 year old, 65lb German Shepherd who wants to please and be around people. She does great on a leash and knows her basic commands. Reika shows affection by licking faces and will come for scratches, especially belly scratches. Reika has a steady prey drive and likes to hunt bugs, chase small animals and goes wild for the hose. Reika does not tolerate the vet or the groomer very well and sometimes needs sedation to receive services. She does fine being brushed and bathed at home, however and she is on daily medication for allergy and anxiety. Reika would probably be best in a single pet home but could possibly pair ok with a male dog. I've gotten cancer and had a divorce in the last year which prevent me from giving Reika appropriate care and I need to help her find a new home that is right for her.
